PoseGirl Privacy Policy
This English version is provided for convenience; the Japanese version prevails.
The Operator complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (the "APPI") and other applicable laws, and handles user information in the iOS application "PoseGirl" (the "App") as set out below.
1. Key Points (Please Read First)
- The App has no account registration and does not collect your name, email address, or similar identifying information.
- The pose images you draw and the illustrations generated for you are stored on your device as a rule. They are not permanently stored on the Operator's servers.
- Your drawn image and prompt are transmitted to the Operator's server and an external AI image generation service only for the purpose of generating your illustration.
2. Information We Collect and Transmit
(1) Drawn pose images and prompts (instruction text)
- Purpose: Generating illustrations.
- Destination: Transmitted via the Operator's server (Cloudflare Workers) to the image generation API of an external AI provider (novita.ai).
- Storage: Handled temporarily on the server side only for as long as needed to process the generation and deliver the result; no permanent storage. For handling by the external AI provider, see Section 4.
- Request: Please do not include personal information (such as names or addresses) or confidential information about yourself or others in your prompts or drawings.
(2) Device identifier
- What it is: An anonymous device identifier generated by the App.
- Purpose: Managing the free daily quota (the number of generations per day) and your ticket balance, and preventing fraudulent use.
- It is not linked to your name or similar information, and cannot identify you by itself.
(3) Usage data (analytics)
- What it is: Operational events such as screen views, generation start/completion, and purchase start/completion, plus app version, device model, OS, and similar data.
- Purpose: Improving the quality of the App and analyzing usage.
- Tool: PostHog (PostHog Inc.). The content of your drawn images and prompts is not included in analytics data.
(4) Purchase information
- What it is: In-app purchase transaction data from the App Store (transaction data signed by Apple, including product ID and purchase date/time).
- Purpose: Granting tickets, managing ticket balances, and verifying the validity of purchases.
- Payment details such as credit card numbers are handled by Apple; the Operator does not obtain them.
3. Purposes of Use
The information collected is used only for the following purposes:
- Providing the illustration generation service
- Managing the free quota and tickets, and preventing fraudulent use
- Safety measures such as detecting prohibited content (e.g., sexual content)
- Improving the quality of the App, handling failures, and analyzing usage
- Responding to inquiries
4. Provision to Third Parties / Outsourcing (Data Processors)
The Operator does not sell or provide user information to third parties without your consent. However, to the extent necessary to provide the service, processing is entrusted to the following external providers:
| Provider | Role | Information handled | Country |
|---|---|---|---|
| novita.ai (an overseas AI image generation service provider; the official corporate name of its operating entity is not stated in its terms) | AI image generation API | Pose images, prompts, generated images | Cannot be identified (see note below) |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Server (Workers), temporary handling of generated images, safety screening | Pose images, prompts, generated images, device identifier | United States |
| PostHog Inc. | Analytics | Usage data, device identifier | United States (US Cloud) |
| Apple Inc. | In-app purchase payment processing | Purchase information | United States |
- Because these providers are located outside Japan, their countries are disclosed in accordance with the APPI. Data protection regimes in other countries may differ from that of Japan.
- The official corporate name and country of the entity operating novita.ai are not stated in its Terms of Service or Privacy Policy (as of the versions checked: Terms dated August 5, 2026; Privacy Policy dated May 13, 2026) and therefore cannot be identified. For reference, novita.ai's Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and its Privacy Policy states that transmitted data may be transferred outside your country, including to the United States.
- novita.ai's Privacy Policy states that data you submit is not used to train its AI models (as of the version dated May 13, 2026).
5. Retention Periods
- Data on your device (drawn images, generated images, gallery): retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- Server-side data: retained temporarily, only for as long as needed to process generation and deliver results. Data for managing the free quota and ticket balances is retained for as long as needed to provide the service.
- Analytics data: retained for a reasonable period necessary for analysis.
6. Security
The Operator takes reasonable security measures to prevent leakage or loss of the information it handles, including encrypted communications (HTTPS), confidential management of API keys, and access controls.
7. Requests for Disclosure and Other Rights (Contact under the APPI)
If you wish to request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or similar actions regarding personal data held by the Operator, please contact us via the contact listed in Section 10. We will respond without undue delay in accordance with applicable law. Note that because the App does not collect names or similar identifiers, we may be unable to locate data corresponding to your request depending on its content.
8. Use by Minors
If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The App does not knowingly collect additional personal information from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be revised in response to changes in law or in the service. If we make material changes, we will announce them by reasonable means such as an in-app notice. The revised Policy takes effect when posted on this page (or on a separately specified effective date).
